I was reading a magazine and came across an article on summer dating tips. One of the women featured in the article made a point that gave me an "Aha moment." She said that she is always friendly to every guy that approaches her. She said that men will watch how you interact with other men. If you are unapproachable or dismiss every guy that attempts to make conversation, the cute guy across the bar will never approach you.
I know we have all been approached by guys who do not have a chance; while the guy you've been eyeing all night doesn't make a move. He doesn't want to be rejected either! It's starting to become clear. My body language screams "Do not look at me, do not try to talk to me. I am not interested!!!" Even if you are bold enough, I will swat you like Obama did the fly! Lol. The article made me realize that I need to change this part of my personality. If I am going to be successful at dating, I need to have a positive demeanor. I do not have to go on a date with every guy that says hello, but I can be friendly. "THE ONE" could be watching across the room.

Stay Tuned
Hello All!! I haven't forgotten about my blog. I am on vacation, visiting family and friends. I have been on the lookout for a surfer-type, but no such luck. Lol!! I will be back soon and hopefully full of dating adventures to share.
On another note, I just read the Michael Strahan and Eddie Murphy's ex just got engaged?!?!?! If I remember correctly, he put a tracking device on her car to keep track of her. I know I have been removed from the dating scene for awhile; but I think 007 tactics would disqualify you as "THE ONE." Is she that desperate or is IT that good?!?! Is the pool of eliglible men that slim, that we have to settle for craziness??? I sure hope not.
Until next time,

Charlotte
Hello!! Just catching you up on my weekend. No, I didn't have date. A friend did call and ask if I would be available to meet for dinner and drinks. I had to take a rain check because I was not in town. I will definitely take him up on his offer soon.
I spent the weekend with two of my BFFs and their families in Charlotte. Being in Charlotte made me realized I need to date outside of my region. Lol. I saw several prospects at the Taste of Charlotte. Since I was spending time with friends, I chose not to get my mack on.. :-) Do people still use that phrase??? I am definitely going back for a scouting trip very soon!!!

Who Am I?
Hello All!! I am sure my blog is not a novel idea BUT I felt my experiences needed to be documented. I am a 34-year-old female living in Atlanta. Half of my friends are married with children and the other half are like me, dating-challenged. I have not dated in a while. I was with same person for a long time. I am too ashamed to admit how much of my life I wasted waiting on him to realize I was "the one."
Okay to the point, I am re-entering the dating game. Now, I have not actually had a date yet, because I do not know where to find one. The first problem I have is where to find a single, heterosexual, educated, and employed male in Atlanta. I am flexible with the education criteria BUT single and heterosexual (not on the DL) are a must!!! I am sure you are wondering how I can live in a city affectionately known as "HOTLANTA," and not be able to find a date. Well, when the men outnumber the women 10 to 1, it is not that hard to understand. My second problem is that I am, well, let us say extremely discriminating. I have been known to stop dating someone because he wore a bad pair of shoes. I know, it is crazy, but it is something that I am working on. I am trying to be more "open" to potential suitors that are out there. Finally, I cannot help but compare everyone I meet to the EX. On paper, he was perfect. Not just the perfect one for me :-(
With that said, I am on a quest to find a perfect man for me. My plan is date a variety of men and document my experiences. Your mission, if you choose to accept :-), is to read my blog and give me feedback on each date.
